Among the employed population of Azerbaijan, women make up 48.2%.
Women make up 80.1% of teachers in secondary schools, 78.9% of teachers in secondary specialized educational institutions, and 52% of university teachers. 62% of doctors are women. They also make up 58.1% of research workers. Over the past five years, the number of women PhD and Doctors of Science has increased by 1.3 times.
The proportion of women among civil servants is 28.6%, MPs - 16.8%, and entrepreneurs - 21.5%.
Over the past 10 years, the number of women who received a driver's license has increased by almost two times. While in 2008 the proportion of women among licensed drivers was 4.6%, in 2018 it became 7.4%. -06D--
