Сообщение МИД Азербайджана

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has issued a statement on the deployment of Armenian armed forces in Azerbaijan. This information-statement is a set of words that are meaningless, illogical, contradictory, do not reflect the existing reality and the essence of the issue. This is worse than the disgusting statements made by Elmar Mammadyarov's press service for many years. E. Mammadyarov made supplicatory statements of the defeated country. In the current victorious situation, this statement does not reflect the current military power and political capabilities of Azerbaijan.

First, the approach to the issue and the root of the statement are false. There are needless repetitions. One statement uses “international law and principles” nine times. Sometimes the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan expresses the concerns of the parents of Armenian soldiers, sometimes worries about the violation of human rights of soldiers, sometimes calls on human rights organizations to prevent the sending of Armenian soldiers to Azerbaijan, sometimes calls on Armenia to be honest... What does this mean?.. Look at the attitude to Armenia, which has ruined our homeland and still justifies it with its poisonous language...

See what the MFA says in the statement: “Deployment of Armenian armed forces in any form without the consent of Azerbaijan in the internationally recognized territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan is a clear violation of the norms and principles of international law, in particular, the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states and the inviolability of international borders, as well as the provisions of other international documents to which Armenia is a party.” Only three months have passed since the war with Armenia. The search for our soldiers killed in the mountains is still going on, we have 3,000 martyrs, and the statement of MFA gives the impression that any peacekeeper has been informed that Armenia has sent troops to Azerbaijan without Azerbaijan's permission, which violates Armenia's international obligations...

It also called on international organizations that Armenia sends troops to Azerbaijani territories, the lives and health of Armenian soldiers may be in danger, and therefore Armenia should refrain from these steps...

I do not understand who writes this statement and who looks at it? Does the Minister look? Or does someone from the press service write something in accordance with his opinion, which is posted on the website, and is this an official document of the Azerbaijani state? This work requires professionalism and experience. This is a state document. It should be a short, concise, and purposeful document. This work has its own language.

On the other hand, this statement is not in line with Azerbaijan's current strength, will, and determination. Quite the opposite.

Is it supplicating another international organization to prevent the arrival of Armenian soldiers in Azerbaijan? For 28 years, what actions did the international organizations prevent or protest against the Armenians? Look, our cities and our villages are wiped out before their eyes. Unlike us, they saw this situation with their own eyes during their visits there during the occupation. Now all international organizations see it. Which international organization has made its voice heard in this case? None. Doesn't this Ministry of Foreign Affairs listen to the speeches of the President, who constantly explains the contemptible position of these organizations against us?

On the contrary, the MFA should have stated that Armenia was trying to wage war and still did not withdraw its armed forces from Stepanakert, Mardakert, Aterk, Martuni, Askeran, and instead completely violated the provisions of the November 10 declaration by sending additional forces to these territories and would bear the heavy responsibility for this. It had to show the determination of Azerbaijan. If these forces are stationed in these areas with heavy equipment and weapons, and they are not prevented from serving there, then who will prevent the movement of soldiers? The Lachin road is already open for them. There is no problem in coming by civilian bus.

Secondly, if the Ministry of Foreign Affairs mentions “international principles and laws” nines times, then which international laws regulate the daily entry of Armenian citizens from Lachin to Azerbaijan without visas and passports? According to the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which international organization will determine whether the Armenian youth passing through Lachin in civilian form is military or civilian and will deter them from doing so?

At the present time, Azerbaijan must stand behind every word of it. The other side will then settle accounts with us.
