Azerbaijani officials about pumping of Iranian gas via TANAP gas pipeline
“In the future Iran will be able to transport its gas to the West via TANAP gas pipeline,” Ali Hasanov, Assistant President for Public and Political Affairs, said in Istanbul. The portal www.haqqin.az wrote referring to Al-Jazeera Turk TV channel.
Hasanov said TANAP is among the most important energy projects implemented throughout the world.
“TANAP is an important gas pipeline for delivery of Azerbaijani gas to Europe and the world markets and is the only alternative source of energy. During as minimum 60-70 years up to 30 billion cub.m. of gas a year will be exported to the European consumers via this gas pipeline. On the other hand, European countries and US will lift sanctions from our neighbor – Iran. I think that in the future Iran’s rich gas resources could be delivered to the West via the TANAP gas pipeline. In the mid-term Turkmenistan gas also could be delivered via TANAP,” Hasanov said.—0--
