How Much Profit from Water Meters?
New details of contracts of the state monopolist of water supply, Azersu OJSC, on tender purchase and installation of 50 thousand water measuring devices in Baku and Sumgait have been revealed.
According to the Ministry of Economy, the total value of five contracts amounted to 11 million 586.3 thousand manat. In total in March last year 12 million manat was allocated for these purposes. The purchase and installation of one water meter cost the state budget an average of 231 manat 72 gepik.
The cost of the contract with the company Hydro Inshaat Service for the installation of 10 thousand water meters in the Nasimi, Narimanov, Binagadi, Yasamal and Sabail districts was 3,284,484 manat. One counter was sold at a price of 328.44 manat.
LLC Esil Inshaatchi-R (Nizami and Khatai districts) received a contract for the amount of 2,102,800 manat, Anv-Inshaatchi LLC (Sabunchi district and country houses) - 2 million 77.2 thousand manat, LLC Inshaatchi (Surakhani, Khazar and Pirallahi districts) - 2 million 70.7 thousand manat and LLC Inshaatchi Neftchi (Sumgait city, Absheron district and Garadagh district of Baku) - 2 million 50.8 thousand manat.
Recall that IA Turan filed a lawsuit against Azersu OJSC on the refusal to respond to a written request for this purchase. During the trial it was found out that water meters are purchased by JSC Gence Cihazqayirma Zavodu. At the same time, not only smart meters are ordered, but also old mechanical ones.
