Today Milli Majlis made amendments to the Law of AR "On public procurements" to support businesses.
The change involves a 20% privilege to suppliers of domestic goods and services in the evaluation of bids from foreign competitors. The local products must comply with the quality requirements.
Before that similar benefits were established by special order of the Cabinet of Ministers. In 2015, changes were made in "the volume of concessions and the rules for their application", according to which the maximum level of concessions to local suppliers of goods (works and services), depending on the number of employees, could range from 10 to 15%.
It is noteworthy that similar concessions to local companies are not applied in public procurement. -----08D
