Activists of Musavat Pay Tribute to Mammad Emin Rasulzadeh's Memory
Baku / 31.01.18 / Turan: Members of the Musavat Party on the occasion of the 134th anniversary of the birth of one of the founders of the Azerbaijan People's Republic (APR: 1918-1920) Mammad Emin Rasulzadeh paid a tribute to his memory in his native village Novkhany on January 31.
Musavat activists arrived at the monument to Rasulzadeh, marching and chanting: "Rasulzadeh", "Garabagh", "Independence to nations, freedom to people", etc.
As the Deputy Chairman of Musavat Sakhavat Soltanly said at the ceremony, this year marks the 100th anniversary of the creation of the Academy of Sciences.
He noted that Rasulzadeh left the Azerbaijani people two legacies: the Azerbaijani state and the Musavat party.
The head of the Musavat party apparatus Gyulaga Aslanly accused the current authorities of contempt for the democratic values of the APR.
Paying attention that this year presidential elections will be held, he said the power must be changed. "The time has come. It's already time to create a third republic. We in 2014 nominated our former chairman Isa Gambar as the presidential candidate.
And all forces must be attached for the victory of the candidate of Musavat in the presidential elections," Aslanly said.
Rasulzadeh went down in history as a creator of the state, a great personality, and a fighter with the empire, said the head of the Musavat party Arif Hajili.
He accused the authorities of not being sincere. "In words, they talk about loyalty to the values of the republic, but in fact they throw into prison the people fighting for these values," he said.
Participants of the action laid flowers to the graves of Mammad Emin Rasulzadeh's parents and son at the Novkhany cemetery.-06DD-
