President of Ukraine calla on the world to unite against Russia
The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called upon all countries of the world to unite in the struggle against Russia, reads the Ukrainian leader's appeal to the international community on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II.
"The Russian Federation cynically trampling international law, annexing the Crimea and spreading armed conflict in the Donbass again today destroys the system of European and global security," said Poroshenko, noting that "Russian aggression is a threat not only for Ukraine but for the whole of the civilized the world. "
"The bloody lessons of the Second World War should not be in vain. Sit is possible to stop the aggressor only by joint efforts, as it was 70 years ago," the statement says.
