Russian Military Base in Gyumri Transfers Weapons to Armed Forces of Armenia - I. Aliyev
Baku / 27.10.20 / Turan: The Prime Minister of Armenia should declare that the Armenian side accepts the basic principles of the settlement, which means that the Armenians are liberating seven regions around Karabakh and Azerbaijani refugees are returning to these places, including Nagorno-Karabakh and the Azerbaijani city of Shusha. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said this in an interview with the Italian RAI-1 TV channel, answering the question: “Under what conditions is Azerbaijan ready to stop hostilities?”
Aliyev called an insinuation the accusations about the participation of Syrian terrorists in the war on the side of Azerbaijan. “A month has passed, but we have not been presented with a single proof,” Aliyev said.
He accused the co-chair countries of bias. “I regret that such groundless accusations are made by the co-chair countries, as they must be objective. After all, we do not say every day how many weapons are sent to Armenia from Russia. We do not say that if not outside help, Armenia would not hold the occupied territories for a single day. (Armenia) is provided political, military and moral support, and this comes from the countries that are obliged to maintain neutrality,” Aliyev stressed.
The accusations about the participation of Turkish troops on the side of Azerbaijan are also false. “We do not say how many Russian MiG-29 and SU-30 are in the territory of Armenia. There are 5,000 Russian troops at the Russian base in Gyumri, and from this base the Armenian side regularly receives supplies. All these are facts,” Aliyev said. -02D-
