What Stands behind Emin Millis Sensational Appeal?
Baku / 13.05.19 / Turan: The recently resigned head of the Internet portal Meydan TV Emin Milli made an unexpected appeal asking apologies from the authorities and the opposition of Azerbaijan.
"I apologize to both Ilham Aliyev and Ali Kerimli, representatives of the authorities and the opposition, and all others to whom I expressed hatred," he wrote on his Facebook page.
According to him, life experience suggests that "hatred in criticism plays a destructive, not a creative role."
In our country, there is so much hatred and so much distrust that I already suffocate in it. We are all choking, but we cannot find a way out.
If the authorities take the path of reform, then they themselves, and we, too, together with them can find salvation. If the opposition can defeat this hatred, it can take a few steps forward," Emin Milli wrote.
Further, he made an interesting statement that the authorities should return Ali Kerimli's passport, which would be a "very positive step."
"I believe that together we can write a new history of Azerbaijan. Let's try. Together," the appeal of one of the most ardent critics of the Azerbaijani authorities in the recent past concluded.
It is difficult to say what caused such an unexpected admission of this former political prisoner who was in exile in recent years. Colleagues, representatives of the opposition and the authorities have not yet commented on the appeals of Emin Milli. -02B-
