Baku/11.01.23 Turan: According to the weather forecasters of Azerbaijan, snowfall continued in the country over the past day, and in some places intensified.
This was stated on January 11 by Director of the Bureau of Hydrometeorological Forecasts of the Ministry of Ecology Gulshad Mammadova.
Thus, the height of the snow cover in Jalilabad was 35 cm, in Altyagach – 31, in Lerik – 30, in Khaltan – 25 cm, Yardymly – 22.
In Guba – 19 cm, Khachmaz - 18, Ismayilli - 16, Gakh - 15, Shamakhi, Gusar and Gabala – 14, Bilasuvar, Sheki, Lankaran - 12, Gobustan, Hajigabul, Dashkesan – 7, Gedabey, Agsu, Goychay, Terter – 3.
In low - lying areas , the snow height was 1-2 cm .
In Sumgayit and Baku, the height of the snow cover was 8-10 cm.
Speed of the north-eastern wind in places rose to 20 m/s in Neftchala, 16 m/s in Baku.
Height of waves in the Caspian Sea reached 2.6 meters.
Fog was observed in Dashkesan, Geygel, Shamkir, Balakan, Sheki, Shamakhi, Lerik; visibility was limited to 50-100 meters.
Note that minimum air temperature in Baku and Absheron was 3 degrees below zero, in Nakhchivan 8-11 degrees, in mountainous areas 10-16 degrees below zero, in the lowlands - 2 degrees. -05D-
