A collection of articles published in four languages for the 138th anniversary of Rasulzade
Baku/31.01.22/Turan: On the day of the 138th anniversary of the founder of the Azerbaijan People's (Democratic) Republic Mammad Emin Rasulzade, a collection of articles "I International Readings of Rasulzade" ("I Beynəlxalq Rəsulzadə Qiraətləri") has been published in Baku. The book contains articles by 40 authors from 11 countries, in Azerbaijani, Russian, Turkish and English. The editor and compiler of the publication is the scholarly historian Solmaz Rustamova-Togidi.
The book is composed of works written by the authors - participants of the scientific conference "Rasulzade's legacy in the value system of Independence, Democracy and Statehood ("Rəsulzadə irsi Müstəqillik, Demokratiya və Dövlətçilik dəyərləri sistemində”), held in Baku in 2020. During the days of this conference, it was planned to make it annual, but due to the pandemic and the restrictions caused by this, it was decided to hold the conference and publish its materials every two years, S. Rustamova-Togidi told Turan.
She clarified the result of organizational work on the opening of Rasulzade's house-museum in Baku. According to the chairman of the public initiative group of the founders of the museum, S. Rustamova-Togidi, created in 2019, two-year negotiations with the Ministry of Culture do not bring results. For five months there have been no responses to the letters of this public organization to many state institutions, starting with the Milli Majlis and the government. One of the reasons is the objective difficulties caused by the coronavirus, the rights of today's owners of the building in the center of Baku.
The house-museum is planned to be created at Baku, Islam Safarli street, 15. The Rasulzade family lived there before emigrating to Turkey.
“We have been invited to the Ministry of Culture to discuss the problems facing the intention to open the house-museum of M.E. Rasulzade. We do not lose hope,” she said.
