Forensic Examination to Be on 'Ganja Case'
Baku / 16.05.19 / Turan: During the trial of the defendants in the 'Ganja Case' on May 16, a petition for a forensic medical examination in connection with the torture of those arrested was granted.
According to human rights activist Ogtay Gulaliyev, this is an examination of the 3rd and 4th group of defendants in this case.
"The process has begun. Experts have already taken the necessary steps to investigate torture. True, 10 months have passed, but the bodies of most of the accused have signs of violence," said the human rights activist.
In his opinion, earlier law enforcement and judicial authorities persistently refused to conduct examinations in connection with complaints of torture.
Gulaliyev believes the purpose of the examination is due to the fact that the facts of torture were made public.

The court ordered the property be returned to its rightful owner, Samaya Aliyeva. However, the Ministry of Justice intervened, citing a presidential decree from July 1, 2004, which approved a state program for improving the living and working conditions of refugees. Under this directive, refugees without alternative housing cannot be evicted until they are provided with a replacement residence by the Executive Authority.
