Hajj May Not Take Place This Year Either
Baku/04.03.21/Turan: The Caucasian Muslims Office (CMO) does not expect Saudi Arabia to invite believers from Azerbaijan for the Hajj. Turan was told about this in the CMO.
“So far, there can be no question of any preparation for the Hajj. Saudi Arabia, like many other states in the world, has closed its borders due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Before the opening of the borders, it would be inappropriate to talk about preparation for the Hajj,” a source in the CMO said.
In 2020, due to the pandemic, the Hajj did not take place. Only a few hundred Saudi Arabians took part in the pilgrimage to Mecca.
