Ilgar Mammadov Deported to Sheki
Baku / 04.08.18 / Turan: The leader of the REAL Party, Ilgar Mammadov, was deported from Baku to Sheki on August 3, the party said.
On August 10, the trial of Ilgar Mammadov's case will begin, therefore he will be detained in the Sheki Penitentiary System. The case will be considered in the Sheki Court of Appeal under the chairmanship of Gyunduz Abbasov. This court has already considered the complaint of Ilgar Mammadov, but it retained the decision of the first instance court.
After the second decision of the European Court on the Ilgar Mammadov case in November 2017, the Plenum of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan considered the case on June 29. By decision of the Plenum, the decision of the cassation and appellate bodies to deprive Ilgar Mammadov of freedom for 7 years was annulled and sent to the Sheki Court of Appeal for consideration. -0-
