MP: It Can Start Decline in Cotton Growing
"These events are more associated with ignorance and lack of professionalism," MP Fazil Mustafa commented on the mass poisoning of cotton growers, which occurred in the Saatly and Terter districts recently. According to the MP, in the cultivation of crops certain products should not be used as components able to cause problems and harm the human body. "It is unacceptable to return to Soviet traditions that do not take into account the human factor in the production of crops. Gone are the days when airplanes were spreading chemicals over the fields despite the people working there at that very moment." According to F. Mustafa, now is the time of capitalist methods of work, with the use of new technical equipment. The MP believes these facts should be seriously investigated. Otherwise, a decline will take place in cotton production instead of development.
As is known, on June 10, 24 cotton growers, inhabitants of this village, were poisoned in cotton plantations in the village of Shimada of the Saatly region. A similar poisoning occurred on June 14 in the cotton fields of the Terter region, where 14 cotton growers were poisoned. Because of this chemical poisoning, four of the poisoned were sent to Baku due to the seriousness of the situation. Subsequently, some also suffered a complication of their health status. Those who were poisoned in the Terter region were hospitalized in the Yevlakh Central Hospital. Most of them were released home due to their improved health. -0----
