Baku / 06/19/18 / Turan: The traditional summer music festival, held on the initiative of the French Embassy in Azerbaijan, will be held this year in Baku on June 21.
"A popular festival, open both for professional musicians and for amateurs, glorifies live music. There are no boundaries between genres, pure sound and a variety of styles are welcomed here," the French embassy said.
This holiday takes place in streets and parks, in courtyards of apartment buildings and in other public places. This time the music will sound in the narrow streets of Icherisheher, on Fountain Square and along the street Nizami.
Organizers of the Music Festival are the Embassy of France and the French Institute in Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, the State Tourism Agency, the Administration of the State Historical and Architectural Reserve Icherisheher, the Space of Contemporary Art YARAT, Street Food Festival and Max Events.
The full program of the festival will soon be announced on the organizers" Facebook pages. -06B-

In a world increasingly marred by the effects of climate change, art has emerged as an unexpected, yet powerful, platform for raising awareness and sparking conversations on environmental responsibility. One such endeavor is the exhibition "A Different Kind of Climate," currently on display at Kapellhaus with support from the Goethe-Institut. The timing of this exhibition is no coincidence, aligning with the upcoming COP29, the UN Climate Change Conference to be held in Baku from November 11 to 22. The exhibition seeks to engage audiences on pressing ecological issues, blending local and international perspectives.
