Presentation of Intigam Aliyev's book

Baku / 05/22/18 / Turan: A book "Meydan" by famous lawyer Intigam Aliyev has been presented. work was conceived by the author during his years in prison in 2014-2015, and is written after his release. At the event, organized by the civil Movement NİDA, a fair of several publishers was also organized. The participants of the presentation could bring the books they read, as well as buy them at the fair and exchange them for Meydan, which was presented free of charge to those who wish. Received books will be provided to political prisoners.

NIDA Board member Rahman Mammadli said that at the beginning the event was planned as a presentation, but at the insistence of the author of the work it turned into a fair: "The purpose of the event is to promote the book and reading in general," Mammadli said, briefly describing the content of the work.

The author of the book Intigam Aliyev noted that he does not perceive the event as a presentation of "Meydan": "The book is just an excuse to meet with you. We envisaged the event as a continuation of the support campaign for our friends who are imprisoned and support campaigns for books in Azerbaijan. During my stay in prison, I became convinced of the importance of books. In prison, too, they read, and the best moral food in captivity are books. Therefore, I decided to write a book on the topic of urgent problems in the country. " Aliyev called on the audience to write books, and today's event will serve as an incentive for the appearance of new similar books.
