Prosecutors questiones journalists cooperating with "Meydan TV"
On Wednesday, three journalists - Natig Javadli, Isolda Agayeva and Javid Abdullayev were summoned to the Investigation Department of the General Prosecutor for Serious Crimes. Natig Javadli said Turan that he was questioned as a witness for three hours. Investigator Gasim Mammadov interested in the coverage of unrest in Mingechevir, as well as the financing of "Meydan TV." The investigartor was trying to figure out who unveiled a photo of the corpse of a young man in Mingechevir. According to the investigation, unrestin the city began just after publications of images on the Internet.
"I have been long questioned about who and how finance our employees. However, the "Meydan TV" has no office and paid employees in Azerbaijan, and we are working with this resource free of charge, on a voluntary basis," said Javadli.
Journalist Isolda Agayeva also said thatshe was interrogated for hours on the same issues. Emphasis was placed on the identity of the head of "Meydan TV" Emin Milli and publication of unrest in Mingechevir.
Javid Abdullayev was asked the same questions. Yesterday the investigators questioned the journalist Sevinj Vagifgyzy who also cooperates with "Meydan TV." -03В-
