The arrest of Ruslan Gara is politically motivated, the lawyer
Baku/14.08.17/Turan: On August 14, Asabali Mustafayev, lawyer, met with Ruslan Gara (Garaev), an activist of the Sumgait organization of the People's Front Party (PFPA), who was arrested on Friday.
According to Turan Mustafayev, he was allowed to stay with Gara for about an hour outside the police building. At the same time, he said that unlike the previous cases, he did not have to call the "102" service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the ombudsman's office to get a meeting with his client.
Mustafayev said that Gara's arrest, like other opposition activists, was groundless and politically motivated.
"Allegedly, Ruslan Gara left the house and cursed on the street unaddressed. At this point, police officers in civilian clothes "accidentally" passing by, demanded that he cease to swear, and Gara refused to obey," Mustafayeva said.
According to him, the defense intends to appeal against the decision on the arrest. -05B06-
