Wolves Attack Schoolchildren in Astara

Baku / 11.29.18 / Turan: A pack of wolves attacked people in the Astara region of Azerbaijan (border area with Iran) on the morning of November 29.

As the Astara district"s Executive Authority told Turan, wolves bit four schoolchildren in the foothill village of Shyuvyu, one individual in the village of Shekaran and two in the village of Zyunlyulyash.

The state of health of the victims is assessed as moderate, sources at Astara Central Hospital reported. The wounded were operated, their wounds were treated, and rabies vaccines were injected to them.

The Ministry of Environment has not yet commented on the situation. -05D06-
