Russian Army Guards Bust of Nazi in Azerbaijan
In the Karabakh city of Khojavend (formerly Martuni) last year, on the eve of the Second Karabakh War, the Armenians installed a marble bust of Hitler's Wehrmacht accomplice Garegin Nzhdeh (Ter-Harutyunyan), the author of the slogan "There should not be a single day without fighting a Turk." They planned to hold a grand opening, but the war prevented. Since then, the bust has stood on G. Nzhdeh Street, instead of the monument to the October Revolution destroyed by the Armenians.
After the Moscow Statement of November 10, 2020, Khojavend came under the protection of the Russian army, which now ensures the safety of the local Armenian population, including a bust of the fascist figure.
The work on this bust was reported by the Armenians in May last year. In the photo there is a finished bust, which is now "decorating" Khojavend.
This city is located in the zone of responsibility of the Russian peacekeepers, that is, the army that defeated fascism. While in Yerevan the sculpture of Nzhdeh stands in the center of the capital of Armenia, the security of which is ensured by a Russian military base, then in Karabakh the situation repeats itself: the heirs of the Red Army that defeated fascism guard a bust of the same fascist in Azerbaijan.
In the years after the First World War, Garegin Nzhdeh personally commanded the destruction of more than 30 Azerbaijani villages in Zangezur, on his conscience the execution of about 400 captured Red Army soldiers in 1920. During World War II, Nzhdeh in Germany formed detachments of Armenian fascists to be sent to the Soviet rear. He was caught by the Smersh and sentenced to 25 years in prison for crimes against the USSR. He died in the Vladimir prison in 1955. In modern Armenia he has been exalted to the status of a national hero.
G. Nzhdeh (b. 1886) - the ideologist of the Armenian version of Nazism ("tsekhakronism").
In Russia, the propaganda of fascism is prohibited by law and is punishable, but in Armenia and in Karabakh, the territory of Azerbaijan, Russia guards the monuments of Hitler's accomplice of Armenian nationality.
The name of Garegin Nzhdeh was repeatedly sounded in the Russian media in connection with attempts to glorify him.
Thus, the deputy of the Armavir City Duma (Krasnodar Territory) Aleksey Vinogradov painted over a memorial plaque in honor of Nzhdeh in the courtyard of the church of this city with black paint. “The erection of monuments to those who got dirty in cooperation with the Third Reich is an insult to the people who fought against the German fascist invaders. If Garegin Nzhdeh is a hero, then who are those who install memorial plaques for him?" he declared. -0-

On the eve of a large-scale flood approaching Baku, a disturbing incident occurred in the village of Buzovna, where a Lada Priora car fell into the ground, literally collapsing the road beneath it. The driver miraculously remained unharmed but vowed to seek justice, promising to file an official complaint with the prosecutor’s office against Azersu OJSC, the state-owned water supply and sewerage company, often associated with deeply rooted corruption.

In a bit of historic irony, powerful oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili has managed to inspire rare unity across Georgia’s cacophonous political scene twice in his life. His money and influence forged the broad-based consolidation of opposition forces that brought him to power in 2012, and now, 12 years and three electoral cycles later, a similar pattern of opposition convergence could send him packing.
