Telephone conversation between Aliyev and Putin
Baku/27.02.22/Turan: The development of the situation in connection with the military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, among other topics, was discussed during a telephone conversation between the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan, Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev. This, as reported by TASS, was reported on Saturday by the press service of the Kremlin following the results of the conversation between the leaders.
"We discussed <...> the development of the situation in connection with Russia's conduct of a special military operation in Ukraine," the message reads, in particular.
In addition, according to the press service, during the Russian-Azerbaijani summit talks held in Moscow on February 22, Putin and Aliyev exchanged views on a number of topical issues on the bilateral and regional agenda in a telephone conversation.
Earlier on Saturday, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that the leaders of Azerbaijan and Turkey had offered to organize talks with the Russian Federation.—06B-
