Foreign Ministers of Turkey and Armenia discussed steps to normalize relations
Baku/12.03.22/Turan: Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu held a meeting with his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan in Antalya on Saturday.
The negotiations took place within the framework of the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya and lasted about half an hour, Anadolu Agency reports.
The parties discussed ways to normalize relations between Ankara and Yerevan.
Mevlut Cavusoglu called the meeting with Mirzoyan "very constructive and productive."
“Steps towards the full normalization of bilateral relations were discussed. I would like to state with satisfaction that we are making efforts for peace in the Caucasus.
Steps between Turkey and Armenia are perceived positively by Azerbaijan as well. Peace and stability in the region meet the interests of all parties,” the Turkish minister said.
According to the Turkish minister, the process of dialogue between Ankara and Yerevan is also supported by Azerbaijan.
Mirzoyan, in turn, stated that the Armenian side is ready to continue the process without preconditions. According to him, Yerevan is resolute in establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus. -02D-
