Shahin Seyidzade terminates parliamentary powers
Baku/16.03.22/Turan: Member of the Milli Majlis Shahin Seyidzade wrote a statement on the refusal of the deputy mandate in connection with the appointment of the head of the board of the department of the historical and cultural reserve "Icheri Sheher". According to the legislation, a deputy has no right to hold a position in the executive branch and engage in other paid activities, except for scientific and pedagogical activities.
It should be noted that six seats are already vacant in the Azerbaijani parliament, which consists of 125 seats.
In the early elections to the Milli Majlis in 2020, the results were canceled in 4 constituencies. Another parliamentarian died after the elections. In addition, the powers of deputy Eldaniz Salimov were terminated in connection with the criminal case against him and the verdict that came into force.
