France prepares UN Security Council resolution on Lachin corridor
Baku/25.08.23/Turan: France is preparing to submit to the UN Security Council a resolution on unblocking the Lachin corridor. This is stated in an article by deputy editor of "Le Figaro" magazine, Jean-Christophe Buisson.
According to him, the purpose of the resolution is to help the residents of Nagorno-Karabakh, who are "on the verge of starvation due to the blockade of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan."
Besides, Paris and major regions of France will send a humanitarian convoy to Armenia next week for the residents of Karabakh, who are "deprived of food, medicine, petrol and are periodically cut off electricity, water and internet," the article said. -0-

The agreement, which had been signed earlier this year under Faleo’s predecessor, Roh Wamitan, was intended to bolster New Caledonia’s struggle for independence from France. However, the move provoked a sharp reaction from the French government, which accused Azerbaijan of meddling in its overseas territories and stoking separatist ambitions.
