Investigate the case of a trip of a group of congressmen to Azerbaijan continues in the United States
Baku/08.10.18/Turan: The charge of the Washington District Court of November 3, 2016 says that the trip of a group of members of the Congress to Azerbaijan was financed by the State Oil Company SOCAR. In today"s issue of the Turkish newspaper "Sezchu", an article by Aytunj Erkin was published under the title: "Traffic in the US region worth $ 2.2 million."
The submission says that on 9 pages of the prosecution"s accusation, the testimony of FETÖ member Kemal Oksuz, who had been wanted by Interpol several years ago and was discovered August 29 in Yerevan, was published.
He admits that there were hidden financial ties between his organization and SOCAR.
There are allegations in the accusation that the trip of the members of the Congress to Azerbaijan was organized by 7 structures, the main ones being related to the FETÖ "Turkuaz Amerikalı and Avrasiyalılar Şurası" (TCAE), as well as the "Assembly of Friends of Azerbaijan" (AFAZ).
In addition, the charges contain allegations that SOCAR paid $ 2.2 million to AFAZ and the Baku office of structures called PSG. However, in his earlier testimony, Kemal Oksuz claimed that all expenses were paid from the sources of his organization.
The scandal around this case began after the newspaper "Washington Post" published on May 13, 2015 an article about suspicious financial sources of the trip of 10 members of the US Congress to Azerbaijan.
After an investigation was started on this case, Kemal Oksuz fled to Brazil, and from there he went to Armenia, where he was detained on August 29. -0-
