Jamil Gasanli condemned police violence against protesters
Baku/14.10.13/Turan : The presidential candidate of the opposition Jamil Gasanli denounced Saturday's beating by police of the members of opposition protests .
In the statement Gasanli said that after the sanctioned rally, police and people in civilian clothes attacked the young people. Thus, 10 people were detained.
Gasanli said it was a planned provocation. “The aim of this provocation was to intimidate people, to keep them from realizing their constitutional freedoms," he said.
He demanded to bring to justice those who committed acts of violence against peaceful protesters.
Recall that the police after the rally began to severely beat the young people, who were leaving the place of the action, chanting anti-government slogans. -16D06-
