Hunger strike by a group of party members to demand the release of political prisoners, launched on May 12 at the headquarters of the party "Musavat", was suspended on Monday, on the seventh day of the strike.
Participants of the hunger strike stopped the action after a pressing appeal to them from two convicted deputy heads of the party - Tofig Yagublu and Yadigar Sadigov, as well as members of the party, according to the deputy chairman of "Musavat" Elman Fattah.
According to him, the action has reached its goal and attracted the attention of local and international community to the problem of political prisoners.
"Local and international media have published numerous articles about the campaign. On May 16 was a one-day all-republican action support. "Musavat" will continue to fight for the liberation of political prisoners, "- said Fattah.-03B06-
