Baku / 12.11.19 / Turan: November 12 is celebrated as Constitution Day in Azerbaijan.
The first Constitution of independent Azerbaijan was adopted on November 12, 1995 at a popular vote.
Over the past 23 years, the Constitution has undergone changes and amendments three times in referenda on August 24, 2002, March 18, 2009 and September 26, 2016.
Until 2009, November 12th was celebrated as a public holiday. However, later this day, although it remained festive, it ceased to be a day off. -06D-

Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova to Montenegro met with the President of this Balkan country, Yakov Milatovich as part of the official visit.
