24 kg of drugs were seized from resident of Yardymly
Baku/11.01.23/Turan: A resident of the Yardymly rtegion, Vusal Veliyev, was detained on suspicion of illegally importing 24 kg of drugs into Azerbaijan, the Interior Ministry said.
After being detained by employees of the drug control department of the Interior Ministry, Veliyev said that he purchased drugs from an Iranian citizen named Nehmat, whom he met on social networks.
Note that 16 kg of heroin, 2 kg of opium and 6 kg of marijuana were seized from the car in which Veliyev was traveling.
Veliyev intended to sell a part of drugs in Baku, and to transport some of them to Europe with the help of other members of the criminal group.
In fact, a criminal case has been initiated, and Veliyev arrested. -05D-
