Attempt to smuggle 9 kg of drugs from Iran prevented
Baku/02.02.22/Turan: Azerbaijani border guards stopped the smuggling of 9 kg of drugs from Iran, detaining the violator.
According to the press service of the State Border Service (SBS), on February 2, at around 01:50 am, on the official territory of the frontier post in the Bilasuvar region, the attention of the border squad was attracted by the suspicious behavior of an unknown man.
At the same time, he ignored the order to stop and tried to escape, taking the package from the territory. However, the border guards managed to detain the man.
It turned out to be a resident of Baku Askerov Umid Nadir oglu, born in 1988.
In the bag confiscated from him, 8 kg 800 g of narcotic substances were found, including 7,900 g of marijuana and 900 g of "coconut".
