Baku / 07.15.19 / Turan: The Khan Khazinesi (Khan's Treasure) secondary book store has been operating in Sumgayit for more than 20 years, and since 2014, it has been operating in Baku.
The store owner began his business with the men's clothing trade.
At the same time, he began to put up for sale in the corner of the store a part of books from his personal library, which has more than 5 thousand books.
The entrepreneur managed to attract the interest of book lovers.
With this in mind, he himself became interested in the book business and concentrated his work only in this area.
According to the observations of Rasuloglu, today's young people are much more interested in books than they were 10-15 years ago.
Young people read a lot of books published in Turkey, Russia and several other countries.
However, high customs duties contribute to higher prices for books. The entrepreneur believes that books should be exempt from fees in order to be accessible to readers.
A significant place in the stores Khan Hazinesi is occupied by benefits for students and applicants. This is helpful for students from low-income families.
Prices for books in the second-hand bookstore are sometimes symbolic and start from 20 gapiks.
Store shelves are replenished mainly due to voluntary donations of citizens. Many books were saved by Rasuloglu from destruction when their owners were going to just throw them to garbage dumps. -30B--
