Earthquake in Iran felt in Armenia and Azerbaijan

On 12 January at 06:38 in 20 km from the city of Yardimli (South Azerbaijan)  at the teritory of Iran was  an  earthquake of magnitude 4.6 at a depth of 27 km. On the territory of Azerbaijan tremors were felt in the power of 3 points,  according to the Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences. Tremors were recorded also at the territory of Armenia. Previously Gurban Yetirmishli, a  Service Director,  told media that in 2015 the seismic activity compared with the previous year, declined. Thus, in  2014 there were several aftershocks of magnitude 5-6. Last year there were only two, one of which was in the sea. -16D-
