The health of citizens, the withdrawal of deposits from banks, the growth of drug addiction, and the problem of uninsured deposits in closed banks are the topics of today's media.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the opening in Baku of a new hospital, a modular clinic for 200 beds, and enterprises for the production of medical masks in Sumgait.
Over the past 16 years, more than 700 medical facilities have been built in the country, calling it the state’s concern for the health of citizens.
The website Müsavat.com writes about the withdrawal of deposits from banks by the population, which puts banks in a difficult position.
In March of this year, the volume of deposits decreased by 5% or 443 million manats, of which 421 million manats are deposits in national currency. The total amount of protected deposits in four closed banks is 686 million manat and covers 215 thousand depositors.
The website Oxu.az writes about the growth of drug addiction and deaths from overdose. In April, 75 facts of drug trafficking were revealed in the capital. Since early May, 53 similar cases have been registered in Baku. Experts argue that it is difficult to assess the real situation of drug addiction, since statistics are not accurate and do not reflect the real situation. In most cases, death from an overdose is recorded, as well as heart failure. 80% of drug addicts use hard drugs.
The website Sfera.az writes about unsecured deposits in closed banks: Amrahbank, NBC Bank, Ata Bank and AGBank. These banks did not return uninsured deposits to depositors, as they could not return all the loans issued.
