The newspaper "Azerbaijan" writes about the relations between Azerbaijan and France against the backdrop of the visit of President Ilham Aliyev to this country on July 19-20.

The author reminds that since 2003 Ilham Aliyev has made 13 visits to France.

In the development of relations between countries, the exclusive role of Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva takes place.

The author also notes that agreements have been concluded between 15 cities of France and Azerbaijan on friendship and cooperation.

During the visit, meetings were held with 12 companies, an agreement was signed for the amount of $ 2.3 billion.

The newspaper Novoye Vremya writes about ordinary state companies that damage the environment. Among them was the Goychay branch of OJSC "Azerargratikinti". This company was fined for 495,000 manat. The site "Bizimyol.info" writes about the dissatisfaction of the group of Shaki businessmen of tobacco growers. They complain about corruption, arbitrariness, non-extradition of loans. Entrepreneurs threaten to block the route part of the Sheki-Gakh route, scatter tons of tobacco leaf on the Inge-Ashagi Geynyuk section, unless the situation is corrected by August 15.

They put 40 manats per each hectare of sowing, and also preferential fertilizers. In 2017 the Ministry of Agriculture allocated a subsidy to 66 farmers to the tobacco producers in the village of Bash Geynyuk in the amount of 31.6 thousand manats - for 42 tons of dry and 211 tons of raw tobacco.
