Press Review - January 31, 2018
The development of the regions of the country, the situation of the inhabitants in the landslide zone on the Bayil slope, and the issues of a worthy political struggle are the leading topics of today's press.
The newspaper Azerbaijan writes about the new stage of development of the regions and discusses this issue with the MP Hikmet Babaoglu. He talks about state programs of different periods, their socio-economic orientation, including improving the situation and resolving the issues of internally displaced persons.
The Yeni Musavat newspaper writes about the situation on the Bayil slope, noting that fortification works have already begun in the landslide zone near the TV Tower. There is registration of 250 houses located in the landslide zone. The residents have already been evacuated from the most dangerous part of the landslide. Water, light and gas are not supplied for safety reasons there. However, about 50 people are dissatisfied with this. The evacuated residents were temporarily placed at school # 163.
The website Azadliqinfo.az writes about the political struggle and its worthy methods, focusing on moral values that never become obsolete. The author claims that moral qualities in Azerbaijan have been devalued. When people are silent and frightened and lose a sense of faith in themselves, then immorality begins to reign. A handful of people are struggling in Azerbaijan, but if they also become silent, the country will end. -0-
