Protest action of doctors in Khirdalan
Baku/17.06.20/Turan: Ambulance and emergency personnel at the Absheron Central District Hospital held a protest on June 17.
They gathered in the courtyard of the hospital, and demanded the payment of the promised salary increases in connection with the pandemic, stipulated by the order of the President of Azerbaijan issued in March.
“Besides us, everyone has already received bonuses. We ask you, Mr. President, to punish those who do not comply with your order,” protesters said.
According to them, they complained to TƏBİB (Territorial Medical Unit Management Association).
“We were sent to the head physician, but we cannot get to him. It has been 20 days since we sent a letter to the President of Azerbaijan, but there is no answer,” the protesters say.
According to them, ambulances are outdated - they have been in operation since 2007. Doctors repair them at their own expense; they also buy fuel from personal funds and then reimburse these funds at the expense of patients. Defibrillators also do not work, like a number of other special equipment.
At TƏBİB, a Turan correspondent was recommended to contact the state agency for compulsory medical insurance. However, comments were not received there either. –06D-
