According to information received from private sources in Los Angeles, the leaders of the Armenian diaspora organizations in California have sent a letter of recommendation to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Leaders of Armenian diaspora organizations in the United States, which have long played an important role in the rule of Armenia and the occupation of Azerbaijani lands in Karabakh, advised Pashinyan to agree to the “5 + 2 condition” proposed by Azerbaijan.
The Armenian leaders, who inflamed the conflict with their hawkish policy, came to this conclusion after the successful military operations of the Azerbaijani army. But they have been late. Four of the five planned districts have already been liberated by the Azerbaijani army by fighting, and one will probably be liberated soon.
The Los Angeles Armenians came to this conclusion due to the fact that about 20 Armenians, American citizens from “Little Armenia”, lost their lives on the battlefield since the beginning of the military operation. From the point of view of international law, the participation of a citizen of one country in a military operation carried out by another country is an act of international terrorism.
Second, the success of the Azerbaijani army in cleansing the occupiers of its territory has changed international conditions in favor of Azerbaijan. The co-chairs of the Minsk Group, which has been pursuing a policy of imitation for 28 years and equating the aggressor with the victim of the occupation, have recently preferred a position of "neutrality" or "active neutrality" in contrast to previous nervous statements. Such a position of the co-chairing leaders caused great disappointment in Yerevan.
Third, the principle of "self-determination", which has long been referred to by Armenia and the Karabakh separatists, is already in the background. The US ambassador to NATO has openly stated that the territorial integrity and sovereignty of states is a guiding principle and that the events in Karabakh must be approached by this criterion. The limit of "self-determination" speculation of Armenians has already been exhausted. Now everyone knows that the goal was the occupation of territory, the expansion of borders, not the demagogy of "self-determination".
Fourth, Armenia's attempts to ascribe a meaning to the events as a Christian-Muslim confrontation also failed. It turned out that the Islamic Republic of Iran, which claims to be the greatest "guardian" of the world's Muslims, provides the greatest assistance to Armenia, which claims to "protect" the world's Christians. Tehran, which has been subject to international sanctions over the years, has played an important role in supplying both Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh separatists with food and industrial products, fuel and other strategic products through legal and illegal means.
Fifth, Armenia's attempts to accuse Azerbaijan of using Syrian militants in military operations have failed. They could not reveal any facts. When asked about this, Pashinyan said that this was already a confirmed fact and the whole press wrote about it. It is an old Armenian style. First, they tell a lie to the press, and then, they refer to it as a fact. On the contrary, there are hundreds of facts about the settlement of foreign Armenians in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. The BBC's Russian service (Marina Katayeva) describes the recent settlement of 300 Armenians from Lebanon and Syria in the occupied territories of Lachin, the allocation of land, and the construction of houses for them as a major "humanist" step by the Armenian government. However, she does not take into account that international law prohibits the settlement of the occupied territories, which is an international criminal act. Why is Armenia allocating land to those 300 Syrians and Lebanese not in its own territory but in the territories of Azerbaijan? And vice versa, undoubtedly, Arum, a former Lebanese barber who postured with a Kalashnikov assault rifle against the Azerbaijani army's liberation of its lands, would be engaged in peaceful labor and could cut more hair in Armenia.
