The Azerbaijani Surgeon Arrested in Georgia
Baku / 23.05.17 / Turan: One of the founders of the "Lanset" clinic in Georgia, Farman Jeyranli was detained on May 22 on suspicion of fraud. The law enforcement agencies of Georgia confirmed Turan agency the detention of Jeyranly. Official charge has not yet been put forward. Law enforcement officials also said that Jeyranli, together with other officials of the clinic, was involved as a suspect in connection with an illegal transplantation in the clinic. Jeyranli is placed in the temporary detention facility of the Tbilisi Central Police Department.
Farman Jeyranly was born in Georgia, in 1980 he graduated from Baku State Medical Institute named after Narimanov. Upon completion of his studies, he completed an internship at the Tbilisi Clinical Hospital No. 1.
In the years 1982 - 1992 he worked at the Moscow Medical Academy named after Sechenov, where he worked his way from senior laboratory assistant to the department head.
In 1993 he headed the scientific department of the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan. In 1994 he was appointed deputy director of the Scientific and Surgical Center named after Topchibashev, and in 1995 he became the director of this Center. He was also the chief surgeon of the Ministry of Health of Azerbaijan. Subsequently, he did not get along with the then Minister of Health Ali Insanov and left Azerbaijan. Several years ago he founded a private clinic in Lanset in Georgia, which was very successful.--0--

On Tuesday, the General Prosecutor's Office announced the initiation of new criminal cases against agricultural product exporters who allegedly concealed their earnings abroad.
