70th anniversary of Fuad Salayev
Representatives of the public and the creative intellectuals of the country took part in a ceremony to mark the 70th anniversary of the famous sculptor Fuad Salayev.
A graduate of Azerbaijan State Art School named after A.Azimzade and the Moscow State Institute of Arts named after Surikov, Salayev is currently a vice-rector of the Azerbaijani Academy of Arts.
People's Artist , Professor Fuad Salayev also has been awarded the title of honorary academician of the Russian Academy of Arts.
Speakers at the event noted the contribution of training young specialists, his delicate taste , loyalty and commitment to this difficult profession.
The master himself said he did not feel his age, and the best remedy for this is creativity.
Fuad Salayev is the author of the bas-relief to Sergei Yesenin in Mardakan , where the poet lived during his visit to Baku, as well as a number of sculptures in the center of the capital. -02В-
