Weddings are important for demographics - Adil Geybulla
Baku/22.06.21/Turan: Doctor Adil Geybulla commented on the decision of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers to allow weddings, birthdays and celebrations from July in the "Difficult issue" Program of Turan agency program.
According to him, the decision was correct, since the situation with the coronavirus has improved, and “weddings are directly related to the problem of demography,” which is very important. Another thing is that the format of weddings should be changed and people should understand this.
It would be nice if the celebrations were held outdoors before September. Most of the palaces of celebrations have conditions for this. Weddings in closed spaces should be avoided if possible, since air conditioners work there and the presence of at least one infected with COVID-19 is enough to increase the risk of infection for the rest.
As for the number of participants in the celebrations, 150 people is too much (for weddings with the participation of 50 to 150 people, the use of medical masks is canceled if the participants in the celebration have a COVID passport - Ed.).
The presence of 75-100 is enough, subject to social distance. If the number of guests turns out to be more than 150, then obviously they will have to wear masks. However, it is difficult to imagine that people can have fun, eat and drink while wearing masks. Therefore, it will not do without fines and excesses.
Geybulla also noted that some people cannot be vaccinated due to age, illness and therefore they do not have a COVID passport. These people could be tested to determine the level of antibodies in their blood.
“There are many people who have had COVID-19, and there are enough antibodies in their blood. Therefore, the main thing is not vaccination, but the presence of immunity. But people who have a fever or malaise should not go to weddings,” concluded Geybulla.
The decision of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers, at least 80% of attendants at weddings must also have a COVID passport. Staff must wear masks. Musicians will not need masks.
Data on the number of guests at weddings and other celebrations must be entered on the icaze-gov.az portal at least five days in advance. Otherwise, celebrations are prohibited.
In the event of a celebration with up to 50 guests when using medical masks, a COVID passport is not required. -0-
