20 417 Violations of Labor Laws Registered Last Year
In the past year, the State Labor Inspection Service under the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare identified 20 417 violations of labor laws.
As the head of the Ministry, Salim Muslimov said, penalties were applied against employers that committed offenses in accordance with the laws. The state budget received 1 million 915.35 thousand manat from that, which is 24 times more than in 2013.
According to the minister, last year employees were paid social payments in the amount of 527 574 manat, which had been delayed by the employers before. -- 17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
