32 deaths from COVID-19 per day
Baku/23.08.21/Turan: Over the past day, 2,945 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Azerbaijan, 1,027 patients have recovered, 32 have died, the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers said on August 23.
In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 394,451 cases of COVID-19 infection have been identified in the country, including 346,810 people have recovered, 5,340 have died, treatment of 42,301 active patients continues.
Over the past day, 10,079 tests for coronavirus have been carried out.
Also, over the past day, 348 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
During the day, the number of those vaccinated with the first dose was 279, with the second - 69.
The total number of vaccinated in Azerbaijan was 6 170 724, including 3 713 422 people vaccinated with the first dose, 2 457 302 people were vaccinated with the second.

In a bid to modernize and regulate the taxi industry in Baku, mobile patrols of the state traffic police have launched a series of raids aimed at ensuring that taxi drivers comply with newly established requirements.
