Baku/21.07.20/Turan: On Tuesday, at about 2 pm, a group of depositors of four closed banks - AtaBank, AGBank, Amrahbank and NBCBank - tried to hold a protest in front of the Central Bank of the country.

They complained about not returning their deposits, although a month has passed since the start of payments to depositors.

The problem of these depositors is that the CBA at the beginning of the year warned banks to stop accepting deposits, but they ignored this instruction and continued to take money for safekeeping.

Citizens note that they are not to blame for this and the banks issued them contracts, which say that the deposits are insured.

The protesters were told that to resolve the issue, the government applied to the Constitutional Court, which will consider the case on July 28. After that, the police urged the crowd to disperse and the action ended without incident. –21D-
