Consequences of Mudflows in Gazakh
Baku / 16.07.18 / Turan: Strong downpours in the evening of July 14 in the territory of the Gazakh region (480 km to the west of Baku) had serious consequences, causing damage to the town economy.
As Gazakh's executive power informed, private citizens' facilities in the center of the district and in villages have become inadequate.
The mudflows flooded the cellars of the houses, homesteads, parks and streets of the town. Sewer lines and asphalt coverings are broken. Electricity is supplied intermittently. Nine people were injured.
The authorities have started liquidation of the flood, and the district emergency commission is calculating the damage. -05D-

Military expert and regular on state television channels, Adalat Verdiyev, has been accused of a serious crime—disclosure of military secrets. According to the charge (Article 308 of the Criminal Code), if the accused can prove the disclosure was unintentional, they may face 3 to 7 years in prison. Under aggravating circumstances, the sentence could range from 4 to 8 years.
