Lamia Guliyeva reveals the "secrets"

  Lamia Guliyeva convicted of murder told through her lawyer Fakhraddin Mehdiyev  the information to the newspaper "Azadlig" about  the birth she gave in prison. In particular, she said that there was no rape. She  had volunteered intimacy in jail of  Kurdakhani with some prisoner,  and the name of the prisoner Guliyeva told investigators. According to her, she made this step after her detention term was extended for another five and a half years.

"I have been in prison  for  15 years, and when the Khatai Court extended for another 6 years  the term of my detention, but the Court of Appeal upheld that decision in force, I became depressed, realizing that I will be  in jail till the  end of my life,"  said  the lawyer Guliyeva’s words.

She further said that being in jail during the period of appellation,  she had an intimate relationship with the same prisoner. "This man is my child’s father," says Guliyeva.

If the allegations of Guliyeva are true, it raises a number of questions: Is an intimate relationship between prisoners possible without the consent of the administration? Such communication involves privacy, which is impossible without the help of the administration.

Men and women are in a various buildings, and to bring them together, man must be brought to women’s building. Turan failed to get comments on this subject in the Prison Service. Earlier, the head of the agency Madat Guliyev said the administration learned of the pregnancy of Lamia Guliyeva on the fifth month. Since then, the Prison Service is looking for the father of the child, and the search is still going on.

However, he did not explain who is responsible for what happened? How could it happen that the prisoner can  "order" a boyfriend in a facility where human rights activist Leyla Yunus is prohibited to  meet with her lawful husband and close relatives?

Lamia Guliyeva was convicted in 2003 for the murder of Ruslan Aslanov, the son of the then chief executive of Shamkir region, Aslan Aslanov. The reason for the murder was that Ruslan had an intimate relationship with Lamia, when she was 12 years old. When she wanted to get married, Ruslan told  about  it  the groom of Lamia.  She called Ruslan to clarify  the matter,  and there Lamia and her fiance killed Ruslan with knife. -02D-
