Media review for March 23

The theme of coronavirus continues to be the leading one in the fight against viruses, to resist many sporting events.

Sites publish the decision to terminate all major shopping centers and shops, with the exception of pharmacies and grocery stores.

The newspaper “Azerbaijan” writes that another 12 cases of coronavirus are registered in the country. 54 people are under the supervision of doctors in special hospitals.

The site “Oxu.az” writes about warning employers that there is no need to use the difficult situation with coronavirus for unjustified and staff reduction. In such cases  employers will be punished. The state will provide support to entrepreneurs.

The Azadlıq.info website writes about the first prisoner in connection with the coronavirus. Anar Melikov, member of the Supreme Mejlis of PFPA, was sentenced by the Jalilabad district court to 10 days of administrative arrest for violation of the quarantine regime. The punishment was carried out in accordance with the Article 211 of the Code of Administrative Violations. Anal Melikov shared on Facebook the flaws that exist in the  region with the coronavirus. Arrest may be connected with this.

The Azpolitika.info website writes about Azerbaijan’s refusal to hold Formula 1 competitions in Baku to be held on June 7. This was announced at a teleconference day. The coronavirus pandemic was cited as the cause.

The Modern.az website writes about the disinfection carried out in Baku in connection with the coronavirus from 21.00 to 23.00, and also in the mornings from 06.00 to 08.00. And not only in the main streets, but also in the suburbs. Disinfection, in particular, was carried out in the Nizami, Khtain and Nasimi  districts  of  the capital.
