Saatli residents complain about water supply problems
Baku/03.07.20/Turan: On July 3, residents of the villages of Nabatkend, Choplukend and Orta Mugankend tried to block the highway leading to Baku. The protest was caused by problems with water supply.
They complained of a lack of drinking and irrigation water.
“The pasture lands of Saatli and the surrounding areas were handed over to agriculture. Now there is not enough water for irrigation. The volume of water supplied to the regions is the same, but the territory for irrigation has become larger,” one of the protesters said.
The protesters tried to make a march to the Saatli Executive Power.
However, the police blocked their path. There were no incidents and no one was detained. — 21D-
