Several hundred refugees were left homeless after the fire in Yasamal district
Baku / 07.06.17 / Turan: A fire in the former hostel that started on Wednesday morning in a student campus in the Yasamal district of the capital was extinguished in the afternoon. The fire caused serious damage to the building, where hundreds of internally displaced persons from Fizuli, Jebrail and other areas were placed. As a result of fire some people received burns and injuries falling from the upper floors.
The head of the State Committee for Work with Refugees Ali Hasanov came to the place, and an aggressive crowd of tenants of the building booed him.
Refugees were indignant at the fact that they had been living in horrific conditions for 24 years, and the authorities were busy building the palaces and monuments, instead of providing people with normal conditions.
Ali Hasanov did not tell the fire victims what he was going to do, because hundreds of people simply lost both their property and their roof over their heads. Among the residents of the building there are many disabled and old people. -02D-
