Trial on the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ramil Usubov, against Eldaniz Guliyev, the head of the Association of Intellectuals, will be held in the Nasimi district court on October 15 at 15:30.
On August 20 Guliyev criticized on his Facebook page the actions of the traffic police. Interior Minister saw in this an insult and defamation of all the police, and filed a suit for defamation of the police. On September 8 the court appointed a linguistic expertise.
Guliyev said that this prosecution was politically motivated, and is connected with his social and political activities, as the head of the Association of Intellectuals and a member of the opposition National Council.—0—
